Hexham BKA encourages new beekeepers to acquire locally bred bees from reliable sources. To this end we operate a Bee Mart to connect members with bees to sell with those looking to buy. Further details are available here.

Bee Buddies

Having acquired their first bees, Hexham BKA can put new beekeepers in touch with other more experienced beekeepers in their area who can offer informal advice and support as and when required. Further details of our Bee Buddy scheme can be found here.

Education and Training

Hexham BKA is an Associate member of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA). We actively support and encourage the continuing acquisition of skills and knowledge through our various training programmes. Further details are available here.
